We are recruiting for our next Chair of Trustees to steer the Fairbeats Board of Trustees and help us to shape the next phase of our development. 

 

The main purpose of the Chair of Trustees role is:

- To provide inclusive leadership to the Board of Trustees

- Ensure that Fairbeats is fulfilling its charitable purpose, mission and vision

- Ensure that each trustee fulfils their duties and responsibilities

- To provide support to the senior management team (CEO and three Directors).

 

Ultimately we are aiming for a Co-Chair model, to reflect our ethos of collaboration and shared power. We are also working towards involving more people with lived experience of forced displacement in running Fairbeats. In the first instance though we are looking to appoint one Chair, who will then be involved in the recruitment of a Co-Chair.

 

Remuneration and time commitment:

- The role is a voluntary position but Fairbeats will reimburse expenses including travel and dependent care if required

- The role involves 4 x 2 hour meetings per year, an away day, occasional task and finish committees, fortnightly catch ups with the CEO and other correspondence between meetings

- We would ideally like our new Chair to observe our next trustee meeting on 29th April, but this is not a requisite of expressing your interest in the role.
